Helena Real is a Chilean trans writer, editor, and translator. When it comes to RPGs she has written for various games, including 7th Sea, Bluebeard’s Bride, and Afterlife, among others. Helena also authored two Fate Worlds—The Way of the Pukona and Ngen Mapu—based upon the myths and legends of the Mapuche people, the largest indigenous group of Chile and Argentina. The Way of the Pukona won the “Best Setting” award at the Indie Groundbreaker Awards 2019. She also received the 2020 IGDN Diversity Sponsorship. She loves fictional drama, presenting players with impossible moral decisions, and playing in fictional worlds that are inclusive and diverse. Helena likes portraying NPCs vividly, doing voices (as much as she can), and using music and other audiovisual support to make the RPG experience as memorable as possible.
